Al\u00e9m dos benef\u00edcios proporcionados pelo H 40 EP, como melhorar o consumo de combust\u00edvel em at\u00e9 25 % em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com um \u00f4nibus convencional a diesel, o eGen Flex oferece recursos revolucion\u00e1rios que incluem uma gama completa de eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O referido sistema vem combinado com o motor a diesel Cummins B6.7 nos \u00f4nibus GILLIG, sendo capaz de circular no modo el\u00e9trico por at\u00e9 25,7 quil\u00f4metros consecutivos, com o destaque de operar at\u00e9 50% do tempo com o motor a diesel desligado, ao mesmo tempo que alimenta sistemas auxiliares como ar-condicionado e aquecimento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O modo somente el\u00e9trico do conjunto \u00e9 ativado por meio da tecnologia de <em>geofencing<\/em> (tecnologia que cria um limite geogr\u00e1fico virtual, permitindo que o <em>software<\/em> seja acionado quando um dispositivo m\u00f3vel entra ou sai de uma \u00e1rea espec\u00edfica) e elimina as emiss\u00f5es e ru\u00eddos do motor durante o acesso e a sa\u00edda de passageiros em \u00e1reas densas de pedestres, zonas de emiss\u00e3o zero e no centro de transporte p\u00fablico de Indian\u00e1polis. \u201cA Allison entende que, embora haja um interesse significativo na eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o, muitas ag\u00eancias de tr\u00e2nsito enfrentam desafios na ado\u00e7\u00e3o de solu\u00e7\u00f5es totalmente el\u00e9tricas.
